Students with other difficulties

Mental health problems, chronic somatic illness, impaired communication abilities. E.g. anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic attacks, stuttering, epilepsy, diabetes, fatigue syndrome, oncological diseases, Crohn’s disease, etc. These are often diseases that require scheduling measures or increased absences from classes.

Looking for a quiet place to study? Use our special computer room!

The study room offers a quiet and safe environment for focused individual work or rest. It is intended for students with special needs and is provided as a support service for students registered with the Centre for Students with Special Needs. In addition, you will find there special equipment that will make your work easier:

  • A computer equipped with a computer with special software and hardware equipment and a desktop scanner, which allows faster and easier scanning and conversion of learning materials and other documents
  • ClearView desktop magnifier
  • Camera with text reading and recognition software
  • ZoomText magnifier/reader
  • OCR software ABBYY FineReader for converting of paper documents to text

The study room also includes a relaxation corner for those moments when you need to slow down, enjoy some peace and quiet, and limit your sensory input. Sensory aids and anti-stress coloring books are available to help you relax and get back to studying.

How can I prove my registration at the Centre?

To use this study room, you must have an identification sticker on your student card. This is issued by the staff of the Centre for Students with Special Needs in office U13/157.

Where can I find a study room?

The study room is located on the 3rd floor of the TBU Library and is available during library opening hours.

How to reserve a study room?

You can reserve individual study rooms from Monday to Saturday during library opening hours at the desk on the second or third floor of the library or by the online reservation system.
